Accumulating Snowfall and Ice Monday







Nuisance Snow




Snowfall is expected to cause travel headaches Monday and Monday night along with freezing drizzle. Several inches could fall in a few spots but, generally widespread 1-3" will be most common with up to 4" in the heaviest snow bands. As the snow comes to an end there may be a period of freezing drizzle leading to some light ice accumulations. Here is the latest model forecast for total snow accumulation:

NAM


The NAM model calls for a widespread 1-2" area of snowfall for the Tri-States
with the Southern counties receiving as much as 3" of snow accumulation.



GFS


The GFS model calls for widespread 2" of snow across the Tri-State area.
